Project Manager
Description:
The Project Manager will manage projects from inception through production. Accountable for customer satisfaction by delivering projects on time and under budget. Provides direction to functional experts in activities tied to the projects. Manages projects and ensures conformance to applicable procedures. Influences outcomes by effective communication and leadership and positive energy.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Serves as the primary interface between assigned customers and Cardinal Scientific for the duration of the project.

Oversee the development of project timeline and resource requirements for the project.
-
Works closely with all functional areas (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Scheduling, Drafting, Quality, finance) in efforts to deliver customer requirements.

Submits timely updates to the customer on project updates. Maintains open action item list with the customer to achieve mutual accountability.

Engages Manufacturing Operations and Engineering to deliver robust production solutions within project timing, quality, and budget requirements.
-
Participates / leads proposal activity driving new business opportunities including presenting reviews to senior management in a timely manner as required.

Escalates issues and roadblocks that have a negative impact on the project to Management.

Coordinates the efforts of Engineering, drafting, and quality to achieve product conformance to customer specifications.

Ensures production tooling, fixtures, and auxiliary equipment, quality fixtures and gauges required to produce customer's product are available on time.

Participates in cross functional design reviews and manufacturability studies.
Qualifications:

Assistant Project Manager
Description:

Estimator
Description:
Cardinal Scientific is seeking an experienced Estimator for their team. This individual must have a strong work ethic and be able to manage time and multiple priorities effectively while working in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized and task oriented with a combination of technical and operational experience and maturity to work and complete projects with minimal supervision. Professional communication skills are required to interact with customers and program liaisons.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Analyzes drawings, CAD data, technical specifications, proposals and other data to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates

Assesses cost effectiveness of products, projects or services

Consults with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

Confers with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Prepares estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.

Prepares estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.

Identifying and quantifying cost factors, such as production time and raw material, equipment, and labor expenses.

Gather information on materials needed, labor requirements, and other factors.

Reading drawings and technical documents to prepare estimates.

Collaborating with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors on estimates.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a planner/scheduler on construction projects.

Mechanical Tech
Description:
We have an immediate opportunity for a Mechanical Tech with the desire for a hands-on opportunity.
The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and enthusiastic about working with his/her hands to fabricate, assemble, and build various cutting-edge mechanical assemblies. Production Assistants have the responsibility for fabrication and assembly of mechanical, prototypes, and production builds. A working knowledge of measuring instruments and hand/power tools required. An understanding and/or experience with computers, machine shop practices and reading mechanical drawings a plus. Fork lift experience a plus. Must be capable of lifting heavy objects of 55 lbs. or more. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Working conditions & environment include, but not limited to, levels of noise, dust, moisture and temperatures common to a manufacturing environment. Must be able to pass drug screening.
